Choosing a saree for the occasion

For weddings, receptions and festive evenings, a saree with rich work or a heavy border looks regal in photographs — our pure crepe sarees with dense threadwork are made for those. For pujas, haldi and day functions, Banarasi-style position prints on Russian silk or silk bring the colour and pattern of a traditional weave in a lighter drape that's easy to wear all day.

A saree drapes to fit, so there's no size to choose — the product details say whether the blouse comes as a blouse piece for your tailor or stitched, in which case you pick its size like any other outfit.

Every Suvastram outfit is designed and finished in Surat and checked before it ships. Do your sarees come with a blouse?
Yes. Each product page says whether it's a blouse piece (fabric for your tailor) or a stitched blouse — for a stitched blouse, choose your size, or “Custom size” to have it made to your measurements.
What size is a saree?
Sarees are free size: they're draped, so one saree fits everyone.
How do I care for a silk or crepe saree?
Follow the care on the product page — we recommend dry cleaning to keep the print, threadwork and border at their best. Store it folded in a muslin cloth, away from direct sunlight and perfume.
How long does a saree take to arrive?
Made-to-order styles dispatch in 7–12 working days and ready-to-ship styles in 1–2 working days (each product page shows its own time). Delivery then takes 2–3 days within Gujarat and 3–7 days elsewhere in India.
